Summer Laundry Tips!

Fluff and Fold Raleigh NC: Laundry Tips!

Our fluff and fold in Raleigh, NC is back with more tips that will help lessen your load this summer! Laundry is never fun, but it seems like summer makes it even worse! No one wants to be stuck indoors doing laundry all day. Below, you’ll find some great tips that will hopefully help you reduce the need to do mountains of laundry all summer long! Be sure to visit back with our previous posts for more tips, if you happened to miss them!

Dodge summer ironing. Pull shirts and other items you usually need to iron out of the dryer as soon as it’s finished, and hang them up on hangers. Place a garment rack or extra closet rod in your laundry room to keep it easy and simple. Just smooth your dressy clothes out, hang them while they’re still warm and watch how it will reduce (and possibly eliminate) the need to iron.

Designate specific wash days.  Although the size of your family may require every day to be a wash day, try to minimize your time doing laundry by delegating certain days of the week as wash days.

Fluff and Fold Raleigh NC | For those that have swimming pools at home:

Make hand washing easy. Our bathing suits need to be hand washed to ensure they keep their shape.  Keep a washtub at the ready in the bathroom or outside on your back deck. Toss in bathing suits and other delicate items as needed.

Add a space-saving drying resolution. Instead of throwing swimsuits across the shower rod or dealing with a bulky drying rack outside on your deck, try using a magazine rack or a vintage ladder, leaned against the wall. Either one will be functional and stylish!
