For the most part, the holidays are over and its time to move on to welcoming a New Year. Most of the time we welcome the New Year by making some resolutions. The question quickly becomes “Can we keep them”? Making a resolution is easy but keeping the resolution is harder. Many folks will resolve to lose weight. Some to eat healthier. This is that mountain of laundry that seems never ending. The first thing you will want to do is to empty your laundry room or area out totally. This means take everything out including any cabinets and drawers. Once emptied give everything a thorough cleaning. Clean your washing machine and dryer as well. Mope the floor and reline any drawers and shelving.
Once everything is clean then you can take stock of your detergent, fabric softeners, stain removers, and dryer sheets. This is a good time to stock up on what you will need to do your family’s laundry. Get rid of anything you are not currently using or maybe purchased but did not particularly like. Organize what you use by putting each item where you need it. This means washing detergent, stain removers, and fabric softeners by the washer and dryer sheets by the dryer.
One really easy, super organizational tip is to make certain one load of laundry gets done per day. This means all the way done from wash to dry to fold and put away. You will be surprised at how much this keeps the Mount Wash-more at bay. No matter how busy you get doing this one practice will give you peace of mind in the new year. Hopefully you will be able to implement and then keep this laundry resolution throughout the year.
