Below, you’ll find a few easy laundry tips that will help keep school clothing bright and fresh all year long!
- Wash all new clothes with dark colors separately at least three times before throwing in the regular wash!
- Wash severely soiled or play clothes separately.
- Wash all lint-prone clothing together.
- Repair any damaged clothing before washing to avoid fraying.
- Wash similar fabrics together.
- Wash loose knits separately.
Coin-Op Laundry Raleigh NC | Glue Removal
Oftentimes our kids come back home with tons of glue stains on their clothing. Though you might think it’s tough to remove, it’s thankfully not! Follow the directions below for help getting the stain out.
- Scrape off all that you can, gently.
- Soak in cold water and then agitate, before washing.
- Do not use any type of warm or hot water. It can cause the fabric to thicken between fibers, thus making the stain hard to remove.
- Do not dry the item until you’ve ensured that the stain is completely removed. Drying while even a hint of stain is still present can cause it to set in and become unresolvable.
- If stain is still present, soak the item in cold water using detergent or presoak for at least 30 minutes. If it’s an older stain, or you want to be sure the stain is removed, you can leave it soaking for up to 3 hours.
- Once stain is completely removed, wash the item again, in warm water and then rinse.
- Dry as you would normally.
